Having been fairly obsessed with IDW’s great Popeye comic written by Roger Langridge of late, I’ve been thinking a lot about the spinach-loving sailor’s other media appearances. While I’ve long been a fan of the Popeye cartoons and the classic video game, I had no idea that he had his own radio show from 1935 to 1938. (An ad for the series appears above). Through the wonders of the Internet Archive, you can check out a few episodes here. Furthermore, you can get some insights into the radio show here. Toot toot!
