On Sunday, I had the privilege of discussing the death of Archie with San Francisco’s KCBS. You can listen to my thoughts on the issue above.

Archie Andrews died today. As a lifelong Archie fan and Archie historian, clearly I have a lot of thoughts about this. Thus:
-Here’s a review of the comic I did for Den of Geek US.
-I wrote an essay for WHYY Newsworks discussing how the death of Archie is the latest bold creative step for Archie Comics.
-I was quoted in this AP article about the death of Archie.

Oh man. Archie Andrews is going to die and I’m really bummed out about it. Read about how it’s all going to go down in this piece I wrote for Den of Geek US.

A few months back I interviewed writer Paul Kupperberg for Topless Robot about his work on Life with Archie. The Archie folks pull quoted the piece for the cover of the latest issue. Wacky!

Archie Comics responds to the American Family Association:
“We stand by Life with Archie #16. As I’ve said before, Riverdale is a safe, welcoming place that does not judge anyone. It’s an idealized version of America that will hopefully become reality someday.
We’re sorry the American Family Association/OneMillionMoms.com feels so negatively about our product, but they have every right to their opinion, just like we have the right to stand by ours. Kevin Keller will forever be a part of Riverdale, and he will live a happy, long life free of prejudice, hate and narrow-minded people.”
