Incest hits Riverdale? It seems shocking, but I suppose anything is possible in Afterlife with Archie. Read my thoughts on the above image over at Den of Geek US.

Pictured above is the first teaser image from the upcoming fourth issue of Afterlife with Archie. I shared my thoughts about what this picture could mean for Den of Geek US. Archie plus zombies equals bliss. If you aren’t reading this book you truly are missing out on something special.

I reviewed the latest issue of The Fox for Den of Geek US. Long story short, the comic is pretty magnificent. Mark Waid and Dean Haspiel have crafted an under-the-radar book that deserves to receive mainstream success. You can read my thoughts on it here.

Annnndddddd we’re back! Here’s what I’ve been up to of late:
• I wrote about The 10 Best Things About the First Three Issues of Afterlife with Archie for Topless Robot.
•I interviewed DC Comics’ Sholly Fisch about his work on the fun new Scooby-Doo! Team-Up comic for Den of Geek US.
• I wrote about Francesco Francavilla’s Batman 1972 concept art for Den of Geek.
• I showcased some rare footage of the Fifth Doctor’s first public appearance in the UK for Den of Geek.
• I talked about a lot of nonsense on my Twitter page.
• I interviewed Afterlife with Archie creators Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Francesco Francavilla for Den of Geek.
• I pontificated about high-end flea markets for WHYY’s Newsworks.
So there you have it. Now the three of you who regularly read this site are up to date. Whee!

Here’s the first look at issue 3 of Afterlife with Archie, my favorite comic of the year. From the press release:
"Escape from Riverdale" Part 3: The zombie apocalypse is in full swing and the surviving members of the gang have taken refuge in the Lodge Mansion-believing themselves safe from the infected roaming the streets of Riverdale! But there’s no stopping Archie from sneaking out, risking life and limb to find his missing parents-leaving those sequestered behind vulnerable to an enemy within! The zombie mayhem (and body-count) continues to rise in this breakout series, for TEEN+ readers!

Script: Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa
Art: Francesco Francavilla
Cover: Francesco Francavilla
Riverdale Yearbook Variant Cover: Tim Seeley
On Sale at Comic Specialty Shops: 1/1
32-page, full color comic
$2.99 US.

Yep, I’ll be checking this out for sure.
